CEC Excavating is a family owned and operated business with over seventeen years of experience.  Chris Vellenga, as owner and operator, has the ability to ensure that each customer and job gets the attention they need and deserve.

Formally Vellenga’s Lawn Care, Inc., we have been in operation since 2003.  With a constant desire to grow in knowledge and evolve in our range of work to best serve our customers and community, over the past few years Vellenga’s Lawn Care, Inc. has shifted from lawn maintenance services to excavation.  Now offering services that include road work, site work, all forms of drainage, and more, we want our name to match what we do.  And so, in 2019, a decision was made to develop the business name of Vellenga’s Lawn Care, Inc. into CEC Excavating.

Our business model and mission are the same. When you hire CEC Excavating, you are getting honest and reliable service.  Chris Vellenga is still the same hands on owner and operator, committed to excellence in his work and customer satisfaction. We know this to be true because while doing the beginning leg work for several excavating jobs, clients have asked Chris to take on the role of General Contractor, another service we now offer.  With his ability to relate to both the client and contractors, mediate with local building inspectors, adhere to codes and requirements, and his attention to details and deadlines, Chris is an ideal candidate to take on your next project.

So give us a call today! CEC Excavating is a name you can trust to not only get the job done, but get it done right.
